Grilled Garlic Scapes with Asian dressingWhat to do: Those long green things with the little ball on the end are called garlic scapes. They grow up out of the center of the garlic plant as it matures. They are delicious steamed or grilled.Throw your scapes into a bowl with a little olive oil, salt & pepper. Toss onto your bar-b-que grill and let cook a couple minutes on each side. Drizzle with the following salad dressing or just like that and serve. DressingIngredients This dressing is good on everything from cut lettuce to salmon.1/4-cup rice wine vinegar 1 T Maple syrup 1/2 tsp fresh ginger 1/4 tsp wasabi 1/4 cup Braggs or soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 3 T grape seed oil What to do: Shake everything together in a pint jar and store in the fridge for up to a month. | |||||||
